Blue Planet chose high-strength aluminium as the main structural material as it is only 33% the weight of steel it makes a sensible choice. The structure is made rigid by the patented design of the elements used within the building meaning that the buildings conform to UK building regulations (BS 6399 : 1995).
Glass Reinforced Plastic (GRP) – that makes up the external and internal finishes on the panels is a highly resilient and impact-resistant finish.
